Abstract
Golfer¢¥s fracture is a stress fracture of the posterior portion of left 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8th ribs and it is concidered to be caused by repeated strenuous pulling of serratus anterior muscle upon the corresponding ribs.
Usually this fracture happens to beginners and goes uneventful healing, however if fracture end is displaced significantly by repeated excercise, serious complication may occur. Author analysed 51 cases of Golfer¢¥s fracture of the ribs. The results are as follows.

3. Radiologic findings of each fractured rib are club are club shaped local enlargement 60%, angular displacement of fracture end 2100, local spiculation of fracture site 10%, visibly fracture line with bony -callus 9¡Æ0.
4. Complications are seen in 14 cases (27%), showing local pleural thickening or. adhesion in 9 cases, local. hemothorax in 2 cases, linear fibrosis of lung in 2 cases, hemopneumothoraxx in 1 case.
